Which brow treatment is right for you? Shape, tint, lamination or powder brows

Brows frame your whole face, so the right treatment can make a big difference to how you look without make-up. At Essence Beauty in Shotton, Joanna offers four brow treatments, from a quick tidy to soft, semi-permanent powder brows. Here’s how they compare, so you can choose the one that suits your brows and your routine.
Brow shape
The simplest option. Joanna maps your brows to suit your face, then shapes them with precise waxing, tweezing and trimming, and finishes with a soothing serum.
Good for you if your brows are already fairly full and you just want them crisp and tidy, with minimal upkeep.
Brow shape & tint
Everything in a brow shape, plus a tint chosen to enrich the tone of your brow hairs and define the arch. The result is naturally fuller-looking, defined brows that last up to six weeks.
Good for you if your brow hairs are fair or fine and you’d like more definition without filling them in every morning.

Brow lamination
Lamination softens your brow hairs, lifts them and sets them into a uniform shape. It’s finished with a keratin-infused tonic for fuller, polished brows.
Good for you if your brows are unruly, grow in different directions or look sparse, and you like a fuller, brushed-up look.
Powder brows (permanent make-up)
Using the ombré powder technique, fine pigment is layered into the skin to create soft, natural-looking, semi-permanent brows. A top-up after one month is part of the process.
Good for you if you want long-lasting brows with minimal upkeep and you’re tired of drawing them on every day.
How to choose
- Want a tidy, natural look? Start with a brow shape.
- Want more colour and definition? Choose shape & tint.
- Want fuller, lifted brows? Try lamination.
- Want to stop filling in your brows altogether? Ask about powder brows.
Still not sure? Every visit starts with a chat about the look you want, and Joanna will recommend the treatment that suits your brows. You can book online, or text Joanna if you’d like to talk it through first.
