Who we are

This website belongs to Essence Beauty by Joanna Dabrowska (“Essence Beauty”, “we”), a beauty studio at 64 Chester Road West, Shotton, DeesideCH5 1BZ. We are responsible for the personal information described here. Contact:cayeene20@gmail.com or +44 7491 615491.

What we collect and why

• Contact form and messages: your name, email, phone (if you give it) and your message, so we can reply. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or taking steps you’ve asked for before a booking.
• Bookings: online bookings are made through our booking provider (Acuity Scheduling). We use your booking details to provide your treatment and keep appropriate records. Health or skin information you share for a treatment is kept confidential and used only to keep you safe.

We don’t sell your information or pass it to anyone for their own marketing.

Who else handles it

Trusted providers that help us run the business: Google (email, and Google Analytics if you accept statistics cookies), Acuity Scheduling (online bookings) and Cloudflare (website hosting and security). Some may process data outside the UK, with appropriate safeguards in place.

How long we keep it

Enquiries: up to 12 months. Client and treatment records: as long as needed to provide your treatments safely and to meet our legal and insurance obligations.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, free of charge. Contact us using the details above. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We only use Google Analytics cookies if you tap “Accept” on the cookie banner. They count visits and show how people use the site (for example which pages are viewed), so we can improve it. They aren’t used for advertising, and nothing loads from Google until you accept. Your choice is remembered for six months in a small cookie of our own (eb_consent). You can change it at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

We don’t use advertising cookies. Our booking provider (Acuity Scheduling) and Google Maps may set their own cookies when you use the booking calendar or the map.
